SO WOULD THE ENGINE RUN COOLER ON AVERAGE IN WINTER AND SUMMER AS APOSSED TO THE STOCK ONE,OR IS IT TO ALLOW THE ENGINE TO RUN BETTER (IE FASTER )IN THE WARMER MONTHS,THAN IT WOULD NORMALLY

I dont think that you will see much difference over here coz we dont suffer the high heat and humidity that the US guys get. I didnt get any major heat fade all summer, got to remember also that our sea temps dont get that high i never saw anything above 68 this year where as over the other side of the pond there water gets up into the 80s. WHAT ABOUT THE AFFECT OF TUNING THE ENGINE,I WAS TO UNDER STAND THAT MORE FUEL AND PSI,GOING THRU WOULD MAKE THE ENGINE RUN HOTTER UNDER WOT FOR INSTANCE,AND THATS WHERE THE THERMO CAN HELP BY COOLING IT A LITTLE

my understanding is that the thermo just opens earlyer the engine would run above where the thermo opens anyways but by opening earlyer or at a lower temp it will always be fully open to get the highest flow of coolent. Also the fact that we run in cool water means that the engine stays cooler than it would in warmer water coz the ride plate will be working better. R88
