need help troubleshooting GP760, won't start

I last used it 2 weeks ago and it ran fine, now my '00 GP760 is totally dead. Voltage is 13.3, and when I try to start it absolutely nothing happens.

The voltage doesn't drop at all when trying to start, so I figured it might be the start button. I opened the handlebar assembly and everything looked good, I even opened up the start button itself and it was perfectly clean inside. I traced this cable down to the engine compartment and opened up green connector and it looked clean as well.

Also checked the master fuse in the black case behind the engine and that's good... any ideas what to check next?

I tried holding the mode button but no response. I'm pretty sure if I jump the starter it will crank fine but won't start... because the ignition is dead.

Should there be a constant +12v at the master fuse, or only when the engine is on?

try pulling your lanyard switch in and out a few times
sometimes the contacts inside get a bad connection doing this will break it loose and make the connection better. this happens to me all the time on my 95 and 96 wave venture.

OK I'll check the lanyard switch tomorrow. But I haven't even tried to jump the starter yet, because I'm not sure how to open the electrical box. Do you just take out all the bolts that are holding it against the fiberglass?

Hey, I have this problem on my superjet....put all type of money in it and then one day. I called John at Jetski solutions here in Ga. He said take the start/stop botton apart. Inside where the start button get pushed down there is a copper u shaped washer clean it and put it back in. Well it worked I don't know how but it did. anyways try that if works send it to John at Jetski and have him rebuild it cost I think $45.00
