    rotax racing stock class ecu.

whos got one or knows sumone with one?and results after fitting them?
my friend was thinking of adding one to his on order p-x.either stock class or there 8800rpm rev limit ecu.

whats rev limit and average power increase of stock?as the other claims 35hp increase.

what mods are needed with stock?

and any other mods othere than valves.springs injectors and air intake?i know exhaust will help also and prop needed.

To safely run the 8800 Rotax ECU you will need lightweight valves, the Riva valvetrain upgrade and a block guard is not a bad idea. I personally did not like the 8800 ECU because it eliminates the knock sensor. I went through 2 head gaskets where a knock sensor might have prevented the failure. I pretty sure all Rotax ECU's eliminate the knock sensor.

I'm using Sea-doo Centre's reprogrammed ECU with their light weight valve spring retainers. They can set the rev limiter to what ever you want. I got mine set to 8600 and they adjusted the map to suit my mods.

    Just another option.

On my 06 RXP I have a Riva ECU. On my X I was going to wait and see what comes of the new ECU reflash service. I would like an 8800 ECU again just one with a knock sensor.

As far as engine mods I went with Sea-Centre's A-Kit X SC impeller, light weight titanium retainers, open loop cooling, and 4" air intake.

For racing it was a good move since I could choose where I wanted the rev limiter and from what Les told me they put a map on the ECU that was for Limited class and suited for my mods.
