Yamaha stands behind their product...even w/mods

Took my 03 gp1300r up to yamaha for the hull recall fix, they looked inside at my mods ,said" cool ", and they would have my ski ready in a week.(no/charge)..I put the stock ride plate back on it so that my beautifully polished jims plate doesnt get bunged up...am going to test both back to back when i get ski back from yamaha...also got a pet tach so i will finally know if im turning enough rpms. ill post a photo of their "fix"

    "Back in a week"?

Dude, you need to get to those guys at your local Yamaha dealer. The have got to be some righteous dudes to get it back in a week.

Either that or they are some lying SOB's !

Was that your local dealer? There is a fine line to warranty coverage that you will find Yamaha will not be so... ...cool about mods! The fact is if you go beyond grate, plate or anything cosmetic, good luck getting mcuh taken care of. If what you had done was a recall, they have some obligation regardless of what you do to it. If it's "warranty issue" all bets are off once you wrench your first nut/bolt that's inside the boat!

Believe me, this is experiance talking!

you're a lucky man. I took my ski in to the dealer because I found water in my engine. The dealer saw the jetworks and voided my warrenty and tried to charge me 165.00 for looking at it. I had to fix it my self.

my thing was a specific hull recall for 2003 , pump shoe pull's out of the hull, this is not good at full throtttle.

you mean the pump shoe blasting out of the hull isn't good at full throttle?? Guess i need to bolt mine back in - might help speed a little.
