    GPRXP Fiberglass work thoughts

Just for curiosity sakes,, having 7 failed attempts at repairing my old school triple pipe GP bottom, a product specialist finally enlightened me to the error of my ways. After several wave jumps the fiberglass repair would always pop loose like it was attached to a tupperware bowl. Lord Fusor products Rep explained the fiberglass resin will not chemically bond to SMC. The SMC also has a built in mold release agent that is released when grinding. The correct way to fix is Structural Repair Adhesive. It comes out like tooth paste and is difficult to work with matting but ends up super gluing to SMC rather trying to chemically bond. They use it on plastic car bumpers because auto repair shops had the same popping loose issue. I tried it,, and my GP finally survived my surf pounding 180 nose stabs all season.
I suspect your guys internal pump support and notch fillers are less stressed than the bottom of my hull,, but the concept is worth considering IMO!

    1. Look in the inline store. Jerry sells it. Also get the 04 and up shoe brackets.

    2. Nope, you need to buy an expensive adapter.

Go to the Yamaha FAQ section. Everything you need is in there.

No, the pump tunnel reinforcement keeps your pump tunnel from cracking and breaking. It's not about performance. It's about reliability. The faster you go, the better prepared you must be.

I have no opinion on the SD pump, until I do some side/side comparisons to my Yami pump systems.

thanks for answering my questions but i was asking if the piece to convert from the yamaha pump to the SD pump really helps with cavitation an hold shot like it says but u haven't tried it so i will ask around.

do you suggest getting a magnum pump an just use the split shaft instead?
    which pump do you suggest?
