FX 140 Cylinders
Can anyone tell me what type cylinders a FX 140 has. It looks like Yamaha sells .50 mm Pistons but the cylinders look like nika sil .

There seems to be alot of confusion over this & not much info. As far as I am aware GPR's & XLT's use nikasil, but the MR1 in the VX, & FX range are steel bore.

Well it looks like Volltrex is right. The FX cylinders are steel and can be bored. I just had a set bored .50mm over. The only problem is that didn't clean up the mess and yamaha only makes .50 mm pistons. It does however look like the 160 pistons are the same except they are a full 2.0 mm larger. I wish I knew how thick these sleeves were.

I think there is confusion between the R1, which I believe does use nikasil & the MR1 which does not.
