    X-Charger or stock supercharger?

Hey all, I'm a newbie here, but have been doing a lot of reading of previous threads on the site, and I must say this is an excellent source of valuable information to us all...

Okay now.. My '07 RXP is completly stock at the moment, but plan on adding many mods in the future. I would like to end up in the stage 3 setup by the time its complete, but I can't just do it all at once.

Over this winter I plan to do the 4" Intake, Riva waterbox thru-hull, sponsons, opas removal, Intake grate, Solas impeller, and most importantly I know I have to get the metal washer upgrade before next spring, so I figured while I was in there, I would get an upgraded s/c impeller for it. The greenwheel seems like a great upgrade, but I rather not buy that one now, if I plan to upgrade it again later to a bigger one with future mods. I work for a Sea-Doo dealership, and can get OEM parts at cost, so I was wondering if the X-charger is the better way to go. I can buy the complete X-charger for less than just the price of buying the greenwheel and metal washers.

Which is the better setup (for now) with future mods in mind? What other upgrades will I have to add with either supercharger setup besides the regular bolt-ons like exahust, intake tube, etc. ? (i.e. fuel regulator, ECU, injectors, external i/c).

    Thank You all in advance....

    Welcome to the forum!

By all means go with an X charger. It is a better supercharger and already comes with metal washers.

Definitely go with the X charger... especially at your cost, you will be very happy with the power increase With the installation of that charger you will need to run 42# injectors... or run a RRFPR on the stock injectors.

What's the best I/C to get? -The Riva Gen-II? Or is the stock x-model external intercooler a good choice?

I was planning to get the regular blow-off valve kit regardless of mods, but is the pro-series blow-off valve kit recommended with those external intercoolers?

If you run the X-Charger on a 2004 ski with an XS intercooler you need to run a RRFPR right? Or can you just run 42's?

With the stock intercooler, most say you need the RRFPR, but I think it will work ok with 42's. With the XS, you definitely need the RRFPR and maybe the 42's also.
