Sport Trading Cards
Anyone else still have them?
Are they worth anything anymore?
Where can I sell them if they are?

I've got over 20,000 Baseball cards from 1975 (complete 1975 & 76 sets) to 1992 & lots of Autographed baseballs & plates. The A-rod, jeter, bonds & a selected others were PSA or becket graded. A few hundred 1975 - 76 basketball cards & not that many footbal cards too.
The 1975 & 76 cards I have were from the local liquor store on my way while walking to school. I Effe'd a lot of good ones by writing on them & what not when I was 10-11 yrs old but I replaced them in 1990 to complete the sets.
The market petered out on the sports cards & I blame the saturation in "chase" cards & subsets that were thrown in the mix. Then the steroid scandals ruined the Mcguire, bonds & sosa rookie cards value.
Check ebay for a more realistic buyers value. Becket guides don't mean squat unless you're a dealer looking to screw someone out of a good card or something since they only give you 50% of book value.

thats why i asked, don't even know where to start,
I have mostly MLB and NFL cards. maybe 4,000 total...a lot of Favre and White cards, as i'm a green bay fan. not that i dislike him i just don't see the point in having the cards anymore, just something else to move when that day might come.... you know how it goes.

I gave all of mine to goodwill about five years ago. I had a lot of valuable cards including an elway rookie, gretzky second year, etc. No one wanted them. Someone at goodwill went nuts when they saw them there im sure they bought the lot.

The market for trading cards crashed harder than the U.S. economy about 15 yrs ago. To many card manufactures got into the market releasing multiple sets and flooded the market, namely Upper Deck and Score/Pinnacle. The only sport that ever had any real value was baseball. Some of the older ones, pre mid 80's, still carry some value. The really old ones are still very valuable. Got any Honus Wagner's or Ty Cobb's?
My collection, that I still have, consists of every major rookie card throughout the 80's. Got the Jose Canseco card when he was still a prospect that also has some pitcher named Eric something on it also. All the Red's WS players from the 70's rookie cards, Foster, Bench, Rose, Griffey Sr., etc. Dave Winfield rookie. Mostly Topps cards. Got several complete year sets. Got all four Billy Ripken Fleer "fuck face" cards from '89. My crown Jewel is the Fleer 2nd year Rookie Michael Jordan card. PSA 8, slightly off center cut. Sells for $1600 on the internet.
I collected as a kid and the most I have paid for a single card was the Winfield rookie. I think it was $25. Jordan was $1. Did buy a couple of uncut sheets that were more expensive but traded them for cards and have bought several sealed boxes looking for valuable cards.
To even sell them on eBay they need to have some value because you wont get anything for them unless they've been graded. That costs like $20 per card. The only cards I have graded are the Jordan, Winfield and Clemens rookie.
