    Bought broken 2004 rxp..few questions

Ended up buying the 2004 rxp that was not running. Crank still turns, but something was definitly loose in cylinder #1. Plug was destroyed. I will not know what happenned until I get it apart. #2 and #3 plugs still look great. Ski only had 50 hours on it, so I think I got it for a good price at $1000. I know I need to start with buying a manual, but I do have a couple of questions. Could damage in only one cylinder be caused by a bad supercharger. Would you recommend rebuilding the supercharger either way?

I would say that is what happend but for 1,000 it was still a deal. You could get a motor for 3,000 or less and have a great boat.

Not sure where you are at, but this has been on my local Craigs list for a couple weeks now... at least.

Even with shipping if all is well with the engine your back in biz...

FYI, I have no interest in this deal at all..... just trying to help ya out if possible.... good luck

What you have is worth more than 1000 in parts. Even a stripped out hull with paperwork should be worth 800 or so to someone. You made out just fine. If you decide that you dont want to rebuild it, you can strip it and part it out and make some $$. Then, you can take the extra cash and put it towards another ski. youre in a no lose situation.
