    New to site

    Hi
I am Gary from North East England

I have just bought my first Jet bike (damned ebay)91/91Yamaha mj650tx

My main hobby is motor cycles but thought this might be a good hobby for my homesick Australian son-in-law

Like everything I tend to buy it is a non-runner or at least the engine runs but the jet drive needs work.

Anyone point me in the direction of a workshop manual for this model

    Have fun Gary

    Thanks for the welcome

Looks as if I have biggger problems as apart from a well beaten up (I mean Foobared) jet drive the engine is also siezed.

I have got the engine stripped, the shopping list is getting longer
    Jet drive complete
    2 pistons and smallends complete
    Battery
    2 engine mountings
workshop manual, I have done a search and nothing listed on hear MJ650TX
Probably not worth rebuilding in £costs but at least we will have an old ski with decent internals

Looks like a nice learning experience to get involved with..at least when u are done putting her back together u will know everything about the ski. I used to love doing this with the old 2 stroke seadoos.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure if u need any help someone here will be able to answer your questions.
