The sound of a Ferarri in the morning !

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...7&q=lelouch%3E

On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a
gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend,
a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart
of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the
course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre

    Coeur.

No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH
in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly
hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.

Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He

has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground

until a DVD release a few years ago

That is funny I was thinking about that movie like on monday.

I remember that back in the day it made quite a fuss in France, so much Lelouch never officially revealed which car was used, some strongly believe it was Lelouch's personal 275 because it sounded like one but it was never confirmed by ANYONE, EVER.

Lelouch was arrested and questioned, he told the cops "I was sent this anonymously", and since nodoy appears on the movie they couldn't charge him with it.

And everytime he would attend a TV show or an interview he was ALWAYS asked about the car and the identity of the driver.

So much he had to have every TV producer he would not be asked during the show...

And yeah, GREAT clip 6 double body Weber carburetors on top of a free exhaust old school Ferrari V12....

    Ok I am drooling.

You have to realize that traffic on a sunday morning at sunrise in Paris was pretty scarce...

    Especially 26 years ago.
