2007 rxp Glove Box Lid Removal?

anyone know how to get the lid off of the glove box in front of the seat?

Reach in from the front hood and you will be able to feel 4 spring clips around the outside of the glove box, you need to push them in and lift the box out at the same time. It's alot easier to remove the air intake going underneath it.

    lid

Just so we are clear -- I only want to remove the lid not the entire glove box -- thinking about mounting some 2 inch speakers onto the lid

Erased my response. Thought it was for a RXT, sorry.

The lid on both the RXT and the RXP have the same sort of attachment. To remove the lid you have to open it all the way and then slide it off the hinge. The only way to open it far enough to release it from the hinge is to remove the entire box (otherwise the lid hits the steering).
