    Welcome to the Hulk..

Start with downloading the manual from the Tech section it will describe the bendix and how to remove it.

    Yup
AS LONG AS YOU YOU HAVE A GOOD BATTERY AND CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS.....still COULD be the starter!!!!-- is it spinning fast or slow
I belive on the 93 you can pull the oil then gas tank and get to the front cover..

    Welcome to the Hulk draggindime.

It does sound like the bendix is not engaging. They get a little rusty and won't engage, or a little spring inside it snaps and won't engage.

Unfortunately the 93 SL has an extra tall hull reinforcing rib that makes getting to the front a real PIA. You may want to consider cutting it down to match the others.

The online manual will instruct you on how to remove the stator cover and flywheel to access the bendix. It will not be easy your first time trying it, so ask for help when needed and we'll do what we can.

    Good luck

To R&R the Bendix, you will need to remove the flywheel. Polaris Service manuals are here.

There are several threads covering that (do a search).

Other then getting enough working room at the front of the engine, it takes some grunt on the flywheel puller to get the flywheel off. Be prepared to apply some torque to the puller, and don't use a cheap puller.

Sometimes it also takes some torch heat around the flywheel center, and a little time for it to release the Locktite and pop loose. When it lets go, it can do so with a bang.

if you wanna remove the flywheel and whatnot, without taking the engine out i would suggest removing the gas tank and oil tank (this may sound hard but it is easier than you think(i have had to do it numerouse times)). when removing the gas tank you need to take it out through the front storage compartment.... dont forget the take out the gas sending unit! once this is done there will be plenty of room to work with.this way may not be the best but when you finnaly free the flywheel you wont smash the crap out of your hand against the gas tank, (you only hit your forearm against the rim of the hull) but hay you cant have everything. hope this helps you, keep us posted
