    BRP in trouble - Sign of the times!!

    Anybody see this??

    Almost 1300 people out the doors....ouch.

    I wonder how Polaris is doing??? Still plenty of jobs on their website.

    Well at least they are laying off more people that manage the product than that actually build the product. Most companies get rid of people that build the product than those that the manage the product... Ron

    They can eliminate alot more overhead costs by cutting white collar jobs

    Yeah but without us White collar folks who would run the business? I love my guys but without me they would run my company into the ground.
    I don't know if BRP is a Union company but I do know that the Unions have driven the cost of manufacturing sky high here in the US and Canada.
    I'm a firm believer of Employee rights but we priced our selves right out of the market and we'll never get it back.

    That is true Alex but I have seen some companies cut blue collar works to the point that there are more chiefs than indians. With prudent white collar cuts you can trim overhead with almost no effect in productivity
