    block offs???

    hi all, just a question about block offs?
    i ride in carm water, but some times
    love to wave jump in rough?
    would it be a good mode 2 block opas?

    I would recommend removing the opas and putting on the blockoffs in the riding conditions you desribed..NOW if you were to do close course racing i would recommend leaving them on..

    you could block "up" the opas for when you want to go jumping or ride in rough water, then unblock for smooth water riding.
    OR remove the opas paddles completely, permanently and "block off" the holes with the blockoff plates.
    opas is good for sharper turning and smooth water handling, but it is bad for rough water or jumping... it tends to hook the ski violently when riding in big waves or rough water.
    so alot of people remove it completely for better more predictable high speed riding.
    block ups can be made from pvc pipe for a few dollars, block offs will cost more.
    but blockk offs will gain you some speed, the "ups" will still drag a little so no speed gain.

    He has an RXP the block up method wont work on his ski..

    agreed, I love the RE's on my ski, got rid of my high speed porpoise.
