Will after market sponsons with stock opas cause porpising
    at 75 miles per hour?

I think all the RXP's porpoise at high speeds with the OPAS installed. I think that's why some people remove them. To improve the high speed handling.

Leave the opas on and you will have less porpising,if you remove them install r-e or riva pro series. If you want your ski to really porpis use the cheap block offs.todd

Mark I think TT is messing with you..When I first added Riva Sponsons to my RXP I still had OPAS and never really had a problem till I got 77+, even then it was only in a current that I had a bounce. I've know acouple people that run over 80 with aftermarket sponsons and OPAS and don't have a bounce problem

I had the riva sponsons with opas and at 75+ would show signs or porpose. I removed opas and replace with Riva pro block offs and it fixed the problem.

But now with the setback pump mod I noticed if was heavy on the trim (up) in bad chop would show signs of slight porpose at 80 mph.
Probably is too much trim in those conditions with that setup but its got me thinking about the longer RE,s block offs to extend the hull further to compensate the 2 inch further on pump mod.

I never ran the stock sponsons once at 75 mph so not sure if the pro sponsons made any difference.
    Sorry to get off topic.

OPAS can and will cause porposing at high speed..I can tell you that after installing the block offs on mine and my wifes ski the porpose was almost eliminated..As far as your sponsons go i dont think they really have any effect on the porpose being most of the hull is out of the water at high speeds..I have seen many of pics of RXPs were they are at speed and the sponsons are not even in the water....Me personally i have stock sponsons on my wifes ski and Rivas on mine and cannot tell a differance in handling between the two......

    Thanx Alex.

I do not want to take the opas off. I would like to put after market sponsons
on because they look nicer and I assume they will turn better like Gprs do.

The reason for the post is because no one seems to run them except for you.
And I remember an 04 that porpoised badly without opas and after market sponsons.

My ski does not bounce now.

I have ridden 80 mile per hour Rxps without opas and cheap blockoffs and they do not turn in tight corners at full throttle. I have also been 85 in a straight line on Rxps with high dollar block offs and they were VERY stable even in superman.

But since I want to keep opas, block offs are not an option.

Btw, last weekend Alex lost power in the middle of a turn and well, went straight.
