    Flat spot

I have reconditioned the carb on my SLX 1200cc 2000 model. There is now a really bad flat spot on acceleration and I have to pump the accelerator to get it past idle. I set the low jets to 1 1/8 out from seated. Can anyone help?

    Thanks

Welcome. You say you reconditioned the carb.
Which one, or did you mean all three?

Are you sure that your accelerator pump is working? Check that to make sure it is.

...and if you did all three, what did you actually do to them?
Replace needle and seats? If so, what size did you replace them with?
    Did you replace the flaps?
Did you actually remove all jets etc?

    Thanks for the replys

Recondition may be too strong a word, more like overhaul.

I stripped all three and replaced the diaphram, inlet needle valve, mid range check valve, fuel pump gaskits and the acclerator pump assembly.

At high RPM the ski goes well but it vibrates as the RPM comes down towards idle and as I said the accelerator has to be pumped to avoid it cutting out on take off.

    Any advise appreciated
