First and foremost is how the peticular mod is done, not everybody gets the same result because.
- They don't take the time to establish a baseline first.
- Then check the results of the newly installed mod to the baseline.
- Make measured recorded adjustments, then check it again
- etc etc you get the picture.

The forum gives all the right info and direction, most common problem is 'fine tuning',like Bill said, every ski, rider ability, riding conditions play a huge roll in performance and each one MUST tune his own ski,use the given information in our 'search' feature and build off it.Its all there, just pay attention to what you read.
Damn,im in a real good mood tonight.

Or just don't have the basic knowledge of how things work on a ski. Which is great when you have a message board like this one. I don't mind giving out all my secrets. I could careless who is faster than me, my only competition is myself. I set a goal a long time ago, I surpassed that goal and am very content with how my ski is/was running.
But Jim hit the nail on the head, what normally works on one ski doesn't work on another. My buddies ski did not like the things I had done to mine to gain almost 1 1/2 mph. We did the same things to his ski and he gained nothing.
