    feeler: aluminum conversion mounts

any interest? they are 10 lbs lighter per set than the stainless mounts that I make. i will look into firm pricing if there is enough interest, but i can tell you that they will cost more than the stainless mounts.

    Thanks!

The front mount is constructed very differently.

Having handled these mounts, I can say they are extremely well thought out and the workmanship is great.

    Thanks for the compliments/ comments.

Final pricing will depend on many factors. The next batch of SS mounts is going to cost more as well. The machinist that was helping me was laid off, so I need to farm some of the work out to another, more expensive shop. On top of that I cannot get the correct size angle anymore, so I need to order larger, more expensive stock and cut it down. That means more waste and more machining time. besides, a 10lb weight savings commands a bit of a premium. Don't you think?

Shop around if you have a problem with the pricing, and feel free to have them quoted from your local machine shop and welder. Just be sitting down
