just remove grate and install. If your running girdle, then you have to remove it also.
    Install protector
    install girdle
    install grate

Has anyone else installed this? Looks easy and will do it soon, just wondered if anyone has any tips / suggestions or pitfalls to avoid?

    Thanks!

I had already done some epoxy/carbon fiber reinforcing in the pump tunnel and when I installed the protector I had to do a little grinding on the rear lip of the intake grate to make things fit perfectly. No biggie, and a good product ... I think everyone should be running the protector and the girdle.

Definitely put the girdle and the SF plate in. I recently blew a 3 ingh hole out of a pump shoe. It was a very trick and highly modified shoe, bored to perfectly match a 162mm scat pump. At the time I had the girdle, but not the shoe protector.

It may take a little grinding to get them both to fit, especially with riva ride plate, but once done, it is done.. period, and the piece of mind, and safety is valuable.
