    Engine oil pressure

Wondering if anyone messured engine oil pressure? I am in process of rebuilding my 2006 rxp and thinking of canceling out one of the two oil pressure pumps.

Does it really need two oil pumps?

I guess that would free up the crankshfat resulting in quick-rev. please correct me if i am wrong.

Rotax racing engines have the front oil pump blocked off, apparently the rear pump does most of the work. I've heard 15hp gain from this.
Its not quite as easy as just blocking it off though. Malte is about the only person I can think of that knows the secret. But he'll have you buy an RR engine to find out.

1st you have to change the Oil gallery's ( secret ) of the block to make it work,
2nd the crankcase pressure gets build up more then stock ( need to fix that).
3rd modification inside the PTO, "shields over the gears" because there is to much Oil in the PTO with no front pump

btw, you can only buy the rotax factory racing cylinder case seperatly if you want, also a used case, or used long block ( incl. nikasil coating, complete lightweight internals )

in stock form the front pump is more of a scavenger pump tp return oil to the pto area not a engine pressure pump as you see it.
just rebuild it stock and leave it, not worth blowing a motor over it!
