    stock p-x with remapped ecu??

was talking to a friend and theres a 08 p-x ex race ski for sale in uk.

spec is remapped ecu by seadoo centre revs to 8400rpm.r and d grate, skat track prop, dropped stock sponsons, seadoo centre steering clamp.

whats the deal with the 8400rpm rev limit?surely its over reving for the mods??

Not if they used the Seadoo Centre retainers which I'm sure they did..8400RPM's is nothing.. 8600-8800 is where you should start to worry about your set-up

no but i mean is the stock s/c able to make more boost further up the rev range to accomodate the revs?

so with the s/centre retainers you can safely go with 8400rpm limit.?
and have it propped for the higher rev limit and suitable air intake what kind of speeds should you be seeing?

and finally would there be a big diffrence in hole-shot/midrange over a stock p-x?

It will be better because of the extra boost produced at higher RPM

    ok thanks alot alex

maybe go the raised limit with jawz prop and grate and hopefully see strong hole-shot and stronger midrange.whilst still keeping the ski very reliable hopefully.

with the rxp-x and the rxt-x you dont need seadoo centres retainers to run 8400 the factory ones are fine
if you wanted to run the 8600 rev limit then you would need to change your retainers.

exactly, and as the ECU is mapped for a ignition hard cut 8400 Limiter the reliability is the same as stock,

so running a raised limiter at 8400rpm better prop, grate, and air intake would all be safe on stock internals?and be up to hours of abuse the stock system would take?

we charge 780,- USD incl. return shipping. www.re-performanceparts.com

the new mapping is not just a higher limiter, the timming is also a bit more accressiv, and you should run better pumpgas just like on all racing ecus.

we just keep the stock prop, add the Air filter, Intake grate ( worx or riva ), thats a very well performing boat. Solas 15/22 works good as well

more topspeed and more accelleration , there is no TradeOff like on other kits
