    09 RXT IS

I've got a possible trade working with my dealer on the 09 RXT IS. Any word on when these will hit the southern dealers? I would like to hear some reviews from peeps on here before I pull the trigger.

    Thank you.

People were getting some X's around the end of January last year. So maybe end of Jan early Feb. Although the IS is an all new hull so maybe later.

I rode the new RXT iS at the world finals. I found it to be a great machine if you like cruising and riding in the surf. If your looking for something performance orientied then I dont think this ski is the best decsion. There is a noticeable lag in acceleration due to the fly by wire throttle. Also once you hit the brakes there is a 2 second delay before the throttle will work... this really sucks becasue I thought for sure I could use the brakes to rail around a bouy only to find that I was sitting without power as soon as I came off the brakes.

It rides smooth, has a nice comfy seat, and is very large which is great for ocean riding.

It also has almost no storage space, is really expensive, and is in its 1st year run.

    Thank you!

I just don't see how the IS could keep up with the T-X. It's longer & heavier. Could this new stepped hull make up for the other two listed?

I thought that I read that the speed is limited to 65 moh by the onboard GPS. I don't know if this is true or not as not many have ridden them yet... Ron

Didn't Jerry tell us that at the intro, the engineers brought a "special unlimited" ecu with them and the ski was consistently breaking 70-71 mph stock? It has potential, don't sell it short.
