    RZ350 Blown piston

Goddamn it.... Today I lost a piston in my RZ. "Right piston" Front "Exhaust" side is worn away it looks like. Piston ring is still there. Cylinder looks to be ok other than aluminum piston stuck to it. Was racing a "GULP"Harley when it happened. It happened so quick, I lost power and I thought I ran out of fuel and quickly put it on reserve. Pulled the bike over to the side of the road and killed it. Started it back up only to hear the bad cough coming from one of my exhaust pipes.

YES im running the injector for the oil. I will check it this week as to see if its not pumping, but I dont think that is the cause.
    These are Wiseco pistons.

Power valves are fine and also I dont think is the problem.
Using stock Yamaha head gasket. Stock bore motor.
Jetting?? I will have to look in my book, and see if I wrote it down.

    Whats the Cause of this?????

Only thing I can think of is... A few times, quite a few times I have rode this bike to near the red line, way up on the pipes that I think it actually drinks more fuel than the carbs can give it. Is this possible?

I'm no expert but I don't see much in the way of piston wash there. I say it ran lean.

Hmm Could be.. but then I would think the other piston would have SOME damage also. Actually I think its carb related.
