UMI Steering for GPR
Any pros or cons to the UMI steering system for the GPR. Is it worth the money?

Pro's = smoother movement and no slop in system.
Con's = have to remove cowling for install.
If you are installing on a gpr that has the off throttle system you will have to relocate the sensor.
I recommend it, may not make you faster but sure makes the ski look sharp.

i love mine, much better feel with zero slop and i can sit my bars exactly where i want them and if i want risers i can add them now too, thats before you even consider the bling factor.
if you buy one new or second hand make sure you replace the factory bearings because they (the factory ones) are garbage and rust out over time.
cons- cost, not so cheap but worth the dollars imho.

I was looking at the UMI steering system on another GPR and i noticed it's not really that much taller than the stock system does it feel any taller? Or does anyone have measurements?

Once you get a UMI, you'll never go back to OEM...they are nice, smooth and worth the money imo. A Little trouble getting them on, but it's winter, what else you got going?
They are about the same height as OEM, you can get adapters to make them taller, I have a set but I don't use them...I like it low so I get behind the hood.
