    GPR exhaust outlet

well I was installing the GPR exhaust outlet, and looked up the tightening torque specs, ok, since I was by myself I found some sacrificial 6mm bolts and cut the heads off to use as guide pins.
I didn`t like the way the rubber OEM gasket was squishing out, and had the gasket the correct orientation as when it came out. Decided I didn`t like the stinking gasket and removed it and decided to use Dow 795 to seal it up...

threaded in the studs/guides, mucked up the exhaust outlet, from inside the hull gracefully put the putlet into place and jambed a car wash sponge under the outlet to temporarily hold it up until I could start threading in the bolts. I used High performance thread sealer on the bolts...
    here`s a few pics...

That will work very good, Yes once you reuse the original gasket it tends to expand when you retighten it and stick out.

Jim, even when I did the thru hull on the GTX, I chucked that rubber gasket that came with the outlet and relied on sealant to do the job...

I remember the oem bolts for the GPR outlet came out with very little effort...

just putting and idea out there,

i use a new bit of rubber(bought a large sheet) each time leaving the O.D a lot bigger to allow for some play while tightening the outlet down, with a smear of 4200 on each surface of the new rubber to help seal and keep the water out should it leak a little as mine did once, and never cut the exhaust outlet hole out till its all dry and settled in place, also tapped the M6 out to M8 in the outlet and opened out the glass in the hull a bit to take the M8 SS bolts i replaced the cheese like M6...

    p.s good work PR
