I just got the iridium plugs, the stock NGK`s have been good all season long, so won`t know if there is any difference until the season starts...
but same here, increasing pressure and fuel, you would think a better spark kernel would be better...

if you are going to modify them, IMO stick with the standard resister plugs
and if you are going to bump compression, may want to go a little colder... BR9

I was advised by my dealer not to use the iridium plugs as the centers have been know to drop out in the chop stick with the standard NGK..

oops, already have 6 of the standard heat range. If I cut the head just a smidge will it still affect heat range of the plug?

    Werd up Andy ! LOL

I usually run the 8s for 150psi or lower, and the 9s above 155 or so... some folks run the 8s in all and some run the 9s in all. The 9s tend to load up more when idleing for long periods of time.

Shed some light for an old schooler, I have been using BR8ES on my gp1200. Should i go to 9's if I am running triples and 180 psi compression. Using 110 leaded fuel and klotz R-50.
    Thanks
