    Removing RXP pump shoe

Is there a trick to getting this thing out without breaking it? I just want to take it off, clean it, reseal it and put it back in. With all the bolts out, ride plate and grate off, I can't make it even budge.

Do you just destroy it and put in a new one?

    Thanks.

I just did mine. It's a pain in the ass. I used a pick seal puller to get most of the glue out. 2 pry bars and one crow bar, and she came out.

I used a pry bar on each side. You have to drive them in with a hammer and take as much glue out as you go.

Then i took the hook end of the crow bar on the bottom and hooked it under the lip. it takes a bit of muscle, but it will pop.

I would not recommend re-using it once you pull it off!

It's pretty hard to tell if the plastic has been tweaked.

Thanks Guys, That was what I was looking for. They typically come out of an earlier boat like an XPL pretty easy. I didn't want to just be a "hack" and hammer it out of there if there was a "trick" that I just did not know. I have a new one ready to go in, so I will start prying on this one..

    Louis
