    APBA Meetin Summary
    http://www.apbaracing.com/2009/news/...ba_meeting.pdf

I didn't think they'd allow retainers since it allow you to raise the rev limiter above 8400. ECUs were allow back in 2006 and 2007 and a lot of the RXP guys I know ran the RR Stock Class ECU. Seems like the X is going to be the boat to have in stock class again this year.

One of the rule changes I like is allowing aftermarket IC in R/A Limited. Atleast now the guys with RXPs have a chance to be competitive.

It's also good the APBA tried to go along with the IJSBA for 2009 which makes it easier for people who race both.

You saw the logic????? The kawi's have them...and the removal of the RR ecu on the P ruined the class and then came the X. Me, personally don't think the X needs an ECU.

But here are the rules and time to ride.....YEE HAA!!!!!

I agree with you there after seeing your X and Mitch's the X really doesn't need an ECU. The RXP guys do so they can keep up. I'm so glad I'm not racing stock class anymore.

I know they did this to make things easier between racing APBA and IJSBA but now this isnt stock class anymore it should be changed to Super Stock. Hell they might as well allow us to to run free flow exhaust as it does nothing but add a little throttle response.....I will race but I am not happy about this......RXP guys are the ones who really needed this. The X boat and the new FZR wont need these.....

If there is a SKI box stock, then why isnt there a R/A BOX STOCK class?

I thought that the STOCK class was to put the possibily of a lot more riders into these classes.

Used to be in days gone by you could go out on a STXR off the showroom floor and win for under 9 grand, now you have too buy a 13 grand ski and 3 plus grand in mods to even be competitive....

Oh well, more drinking time on the beach for me....
