    FS PET Tach 2100DX

    FS used Pet 2100DX

$175 shipped to the lower 48 states.

The PET-2100 DX is the latest in tachometer technology. The processor updates engine RPM info 20 times per second and is accurate within 10 Rpm. The compact, lightweight casing and the clip-on inductive pickup spark plug attachment make it a snap to install and remove after testing. The tachometer will monitor engine Rpm on Two-stroke 1-4 cylinders, Four stroke 1-8 cyl, and offers compatibility with all aftermarket ignition systems. Not just a tachometer, it comes with Peak Rpm recall, Total operating time, Dual display for current and maximum Rpm and the ability to recall two maximum Rpm memories for comparison. The wide selection of modes and trouble free operation will appeal to all tuners and mechanics. No wires to install, automatic on-off operation and simple function operations make this a welcome addition to any toolbox.

I am interested, but have not used a PET before.

The pickup in the photo doesn't appear to be inductive. Does it come with an inductive pickup?

Is it internally battery powered, or does it need external 12 volt power?

    Is it 100% operational?
The display has a little dash showing in the upper left - is that normal?

Does it work (correct RPM displayed) on twin cylinder engines that fire both plugs twice per revolution?

The pickup in the photo doesn't appear to be inductive. Does it come with an inductive pickup? It will pick-up any wire that you wrap around the coil output.

Is it internally battery powered, or does it need external 12 volt power?
    Internal

Is it 100% operational? Yes it only has aprox 10 hours of use.
The display has a little dash showing in the upper left - is that normal? Yes

Does it work (correct RPM displayed) on twin cylinder engines that fire both plugs twice per revolution?
Yes it was hooked-up to the 785 that fires all three once per rev.
