I have a question that already has been discussed, but i need to know if is true tah if i use high octane gas (96) I will mess the engine. I ask this because my 2004 ho cruiser has been running with low octone and high octane and never had a problem and i feel like performs better. What do you think? I am worry because soon I will be getting my Black FZS and I do not want to blow it !!!

FZ doesnt have enough boost, compression or timing to warrant anything over 87.

If you do a few mods the higher octane will give you a little buffer against detonation, especially if you change the wheel. IMHO the 20 cents a gallon is cheap insurance on a 12k ski.
