    Aftermarket handlebars?

I have seen what some of you are using for your aftermarket handlebars and garmin gps. Specifically, I was looking at the Azonic and Pro Taper bars. Are there specific models and/or sizes to look for? I was on their Web sites and saw quite a few different ones listed. I want to be sure to be able to use stock trim. Any ideas? Thanks.

Lots of info recently about the stock trim as well as extending the bars to make it work.

The CR high or low are pretty popular. Choose bars based upon YOUR COMFORT. Make everything fit you, not the otherway around, and you will be most happy.

I have been through many sets of Renthal and Pro Taper bars in my motocross days. You cant go wrong with either of your choices. I think thats what i will do next on mine.

I like the looks of those Carmichael bars. Looks like about $80. Are you using the standard grips?

there actually motocross grips from Tag Metals-- bad thing about motocross grips is one wont actually fit tighton the bar cuz its made to go over a throttle which is bigger- just something else to deal with....

you also have to get adapters and mount them on your stock steering, pro tapers are larger in the middle and wont fit in the oem clamps

Look in the FAQ section here, RX951 and abbottjohnabbot have some super tips and pics on installing bars, Kirkf350 and I installed some last weekend and followed step by step instructions from these two guys and really it wasnt hard at all. We used bars made by MSR - got them from a local dealer - polished aluminum for $37.99 and they even came with a bar pad. good luck.
