    need opinions on a build

I picked up a slightly modded 00 gpr a few months back. it was not something I wanted or needed, but the price was just too good to pass up. I sold off a few things that came with it and now I have almost no money into it.

So now I have a dilema. The engine was rebuilt, but not fully assembled. It would need to be assembled, pressure tested, etc and the carbs definately need a look. I really don't need or want another gpr, so i want to sell it. Question is how. Do I:

    -assemble it as a 12r?
-sell the 2 stroke stuff and prep the hull for a conversion
-see if anyone wants me to build them a conversion and go balls out
-sell the 2 stroke stuff and look for a yamaha 4 stroke to drop in there?

    What would you guys do??

If I were you, sell the 2-stroke stuff, and look for a yamaha 4 stroke. There are plenty of people who will by the 12R cylinders for 1390's. You already have a 4-tec conversion. Just my Dago opinion.

a lot of people will be interested in that motor
    or parts from it
with the way the economy is and the price of new parts a lot of people are on this forum to get cheap used parts.
and as for the 4 tec conversion if i had the money id love one but im gonna stick with my amature gpr800 project for now

yes but wouldnt a sho or 4 tec conversion interest more people because the engine is newer and probably a better start for a good mud bug ski

sho motors are big big bucks right now, there are two 4tec conversion for sale in the conversion classifieds right now one 10k the other 11k being the state of the economy and the fact that there are already a few conversions poping up for sale with 4tec in them.

an fx160 motor is pretty close drop in from what someone else said just gauges wiring and ho pump pretty strait forward easy conversion might not cost much and not spend a lot of time with fab work so much cheaper cost and easier to push off and i think there is only one or 2 other in existence so i say pretty rare to.

if anyone wants me to build them a ski with either a yammi or sd motor, let me know.

the fx idea crossed my mind as well. should be capable of 70+ with the right hull tuning in the right water.

i think the direction i'm leaning towards is building up a ski for someone
