    Bailers=the !!!!!!

    I was just gonna cut the bailers at the transom so they had about 1" to 1.5" left, stick a cut down bolt (threads cut off) into the hose and clamp them down. All I could think off anyway. Then yank the hoses from the check ball/drain valves and throw the shit away.

    Silicone pennies in to the pump area. Then you can leave or cutoff the pieces in the pump.

    My hull is completely empty so getting to lines is not issue. All the bailing crap is out. So put the pennies in the pump and then i guess i could put silicone in the black fittings sticking into hull just for piece of mind.

    I did not know if i should do something in venturri to lines.

    just put the pennies in the pump shoe holes and then put a layer of silicone over the pennies and its over! good luck!

    p.s. as well for added protection u can put rubber caps over the inside of the pump shoe nipples the bailer lines attach to!

    See this thread too. I also cut out all the bailer bumps in the pump nozzle and filled it with epoxy, then smoothed that out. No noticeable gain in performance, but you need to do either 100% removal and blockage or leave it alone. If you remove the stock bailer system, SECURELY BLOCK ALL openings, tunnels, fittings, etc, IN the hull and IN the pump. Otherwise you will have leaks.

    why not leave them in as extra insurance?? add a bilge pump or two, but the siphon system is pretty fool proof if you understand it and do simple maintenance check every once in a while?
    you guys sould like you understand how it works pretty good...
    my vote is leave it in.

    No real problems here... I would prefer the extra insurance of it being there! It works very well... unless you blow an exhaust hose Then the electric one will kick in
