    5Hour Runabout and the 2Hour Jetski

    For the second time Portugal will be the home to the 5Hour Runabout and the 2Hour Jetski, on the 28th and 29th March 2009.
    This event will take place in Algarve, in the city of Portimão, with the sponsoring of the Câmara Municipal (City Hall) and the Clube Naval (Nautical Club), under the responsibility of Promotora Livre, and the technical support of the Federação Portuguesa de Jetski (Jetski Portuguese Federation) of and the logistics of Angel Pilot .
    All pilots of the European Community holding the licenses issued by their own countries and holding insurances recognized in Portugal which federations are enrolled in the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) will be accepted.
    The teams will be formed by 1or 2 pilots and 2 assistants at most.
    The organization will offer to all enrolled teams not residing in Portimão one apartment for 2 nights, as well as one dinner on the 28th April.
    The competition will have a Prize Money of €8.500.00.
    The categories are Two-stroke (2S) and Four-stroke (4S) engines, only for the absolute class and divided as follows: Ski Stock (2S), Ski Stock (4S), Ski Veterans Open (2S/4S), Runabout Stock Plus F1 (4S), Runabout Veterans Open (2S/4S) and Runabout Open F2 (2S).
    For this endurance we will introduce a «prize Money» as an incentive for skis 2S (only for stock class) and we will create the class 2S limited, also with a prize Money. The duration of the race for Runabouts Open 2S is half of the 5 hours, and will be realized with a minimum of 5 teams for the validity of the total prize Money which will be half in case of only 3 teams enrolled.
    The enrollment fee is per each team €150.00 - Ski, and €300.00 - Runabout . All enrollments must be confirmed until the 28th of February, 2009, with a minimum payment of €50.00 for the Skis, and of €100.00 for Runabouts. The remaining of the fees will be penalized with €100.00 if payed only by the date of the races. Promotora Livre will reimburse all payments received, if and only the missing teams submit a serious and acceptable justification.
    The paddock will be improved with some initiatives of animation, for instance an area for paintball, a racetrack for a competition of Mini-bikes, and lots of other still under consideration.
    The starting line position will be decided by the results on the official times of the training measured by chronometer.

    The organization will accept a maximum of 35 Skis and 30 Runabouts and invites all pilots to participate in this competition which 1st edition was internationally considered one of the best organized.
