Hookup X model vs Non X

For a closed course ski, does the X model have a considerable advantage over a non X model when it comes to hookup?

Yes because it has more water available to the pump. BUT, you can install the Riva pump extension kit and it's all over. Then again, an X model with the extension kit will be kick ass.

The X is night and day better then the regular P when it comes to hookup in CC conditions. Boat handles and turns much better all the way around due to its larger pump tunnel. The Riva 2" extension may help the P but don't see it being better stuck with the smaller inlet.

It also depends on what class you will be racing because right now the only class you can change the pump is Open.

The P is a smooth water ski....put it in anything rough the X will walk away from the P.

I cant speak for the P, but the RXT-X hookup in chop is awesome. Especially with the worx grate.
