Riva Ecu Activation
Got a question?
I will be activating a new riva ecu and new throtle body on my RXP soon.
My dealership in this area knows nothing about mods, I pretty sure this will be a first.
My understanding is that they will connect to BUDS, call Riva, and thats it.
Someone that knows exactly how this will work please chime in as i want to have all kinks worked out before hand. I dont want to leave my ski up at dealership, and will have to hold there hand thru out the process, or atleast that is how it is going to happen.
Thanks in Advance.

From what I have been told by Riva, you have to send them your ECU, Throttle Body, Keys and the Riva ECU.

I was just told by Riva, to call them and get activation code. I have to give them VIN # and i think thats it.
So it appears for the Buds at dealership, all they need is activation code.
Thanks for the PM Riva.
I need to get my riva ecu and vin # and will call riva and post back my findings.

They simply preform a "swap ecu" function in the buds software. The same function they use to replace an ECU on a stock ski.
The owner of the ski is to call Riva and obtain an activation code. You will bring this code to the dealer with you as when he goes to swap your ECU over in BUDS he will be prompted to enter the code.
It's a very easy process!

So if you sent the Riva Ecu, throttle body and keys to Riva they can activate it?

so just to on the tract. i can send riva both ecu,s with vin. if I have new tb I can get working by sending to riva also. I like this idea better than my ski being at dealer if possible.
