My mate purchased a new SHO a month or two ago, he's done 5hrs on it and Yamaha contacted him to return the ski for the fuel line recall and while it was in he instructed them to do the 1st service. They did as instructed but when they went to start the ski it would not fire, starter motor was turning the flywheel but not the engine? They removed the engine to discover the key way on the crank had broken and the flywheel had damaged the crank, After a week or so of discusssion Yamaha are now replacing the engine.
I thought that Yamaha had fixed this problem, Has anyone else had this issue, How do we no if the new engine won't do the same thing?
