    Impeller change/removal

Does anyone have a diagram or know how to pry off the jet pump to get to the impeller? I have a 08 VX Deluxe and want to change the impeller. Just looking for some pointers. Thanks.

Remove the rideplate, and you should see 2 pry points on the starboard side of the pump, one between the exit nozzle & pump & one farther forward to remove the pump. Once the pump is out you will need a shaft holding tool to remove the impeller.

Also, a little heat from a propane torch helps alot. Heat the hub.
    Apply Antisieze upon reinstallation

    .

I believe the VX uses a different drive shaft assembly for the prop. you will probably need a bench vice and a prop tool. remove the cone hold the shaft in the vice and turn the prop with the tool. I have a shot of a VX stub shaft in the classifieds.

Glad you got it out OK. Just remember to use some anti-sieze when you reinstall. Welcome to the forum.
