    Unexpected RPM Number.....first ride this year.RXT-X

    i just did Oil change, and putting the......

    Riva Waterbox, and Tip




    4" Air,



    home made RE's,



    Reduction Nozzle 81mm ring,




    15/22





    VTS Extension Rod





    2-degree Pump Wedge




    RIVA Top-Loader Intake Grate




    water filter

    .....i just went out today for a test, Cold 33F and rain, after a very short ride (forgott my helmet at home and the rain was ponding my face)
    the ski ran fine, rpm was suprisingly high 8160 , my gps died i could not get any speed number but i think my RE's was scrubbing off speed. ski felt stable.....

    If your wanting to get your rpm correct for 33F then:
    Try to pitch prop to the 82 or 83 ring and i bet you gain topend and for sure on acceleration.
    Cold air and water equal more power.

    i could not ride too much the rain felt like rocks on my face.......i forgott my helmet at home.....

    yeah but would not the 82 or 83 ring would add even more rpm's? i'd like to be around 8100, no more than that

    my wife is going to labor in any moment and my modder in law was watching my kidds, this was my last chanse to get out ...for a while.

    yes you are correct, adding ring size will increase rpm.
    I just said to pitch to 82 or 83 as that is the best speed i have seen over the 81.

    I take it you want be riding much soon (congrats) so leave it alone as temps come up it will be a different ballgame.
