    Oil Pump

I found a oil pump on ebay from a gp1300r is it interchangable with the ones on a 2001 gp1200r. Pretty simple question however its my first jet ski.

    welcome to the forum

are you doing a rebuild? or did the oil pump fail and damage a cylinder?

just asking....my opinion is to go pre-mix and not worry about it failing again

Thank you for all the responses. If I were keeping the jetski for my self I would go premix however since I am looking to sell it I would like to have it as clean and stock as possible. You never know what the buyer will be looking for also to answer some of your questions. The pump is functioning however it has about 160 hours on it and is rusting on the outside. As well as one of the cables on it is falling apart. I don't believe that was the reason for the engine overheating because only the middle cylinder was damaged i did a compression check and was getting solid 130 on the other 2 which I assume is normal for a engine with 160 hours on it. However middle piston had only 40. I took the engine apart replaced all seal bearings and center piston as well as cylinder. It should be good to go pretty soon. Thanks for all your help guys and I wanna give a shout out to BAJAEATER for selling me an amazing piston/cylinder setup.

What's different Rich? I'm almost certain I've been around a few that have been used interchangably...

the 1300 flows a bit more oil, plus the 1300 has a stop pin where the 1200 does not, and the cables come in at a different spot

it will bolt up, but I dont know if I would trust interchanging them
