The pump tunnel reinforcement is important to do even on stock GPR's.

They will eventually crack even if stock. The 03s were the worst.

I would reinforce the tunnel on a modded ski or a stock ski doesn't matter, it's a lot easier to add the reinforcement now, otherwise its much more work and costly to fix a cracked tunnel.

Your 2002 hull is stronger than the 03' on up.Your only doing,what....mid 50's on you 800? You can reinforce the tunnel for piece of mind, even though i highly doubt it would ever pull on you, better to be safe though for sure.

You won't find too many pics of cracked tunnels, because those ski are at the bottom of lakes and oceans It something that you should do. Once you do it you will be happy you did.
