    Cam spec ideas

    Im thinking of getting a performance cam ground for my ski does anyone know of any specs that work really well? Also what sought of lift can u go without having piston to valve clearence issues.

    Based on the stock spec's that were posted, I believe there is a lot of room for improvement. However, without some dyno time, it would be somewhat of an experiment.

    You must be careful on any cam larger than stock. Your biggest issue will be valve to piston clearance on overlap. 4 tec engines IMO need to have the valve pockets cut a little deeper to allow for more aggressive cam.

    Another thing you need to do with after market cams.

    YOU NEED TO SET CAM TIMING WITH A DEGREE WHEEL. THE FACTORY WAY OF SETTING CAM TIMING LEAVES TO MUCH ROOM FOR ERROR!!!!

    Does anyone know the spec on a 07 cam and a 04 cam? I would like to see the difference.
