    VX110 Yamaha

    It's my understanding that there is not an external fuel filter on these. That sounds strange to me. What happens to water in the fuel, debris, etc.

    The fuel filter is located in the bottom of the fuel pump module & does not normally require any maintenance.......just aswell because it is a PITA job to get it out!
    Water is collected in the water separator which should be checked & drained periodically.

    I guess my main reason for asking is many boater are experiencing a lot of fuel related problems that are being linked to ethanol in the fuel. Perhaps the plastic fuel tank helps in that regard.
