    Those tributes were awesome.
Whether you believe in the wars or not our soldiers need our support.
I lost a friend in Afganistan a couple of years ago and I think of the sacrafice both he and his family made. He was one of the best people I ever worked with. His young children only have the memory of their Dad now but if they had the incredible pride their father did he will live on.
I have another friend going over in two weeks.
We also have members of this board like Gary(ArmyRXP) that are over there.

If you run into a soldier always remember to thank them. They may give all they have for us.

Near the end of the video you will see the procession going down the highway with all of the Canadian flags and people on the bridges. For every deceased soldier that comes back people line the "Highway of Heroes" to pay tribute to the fallen.

Do you work in the Canadian Forces yourself?

No I don't. I worked with Randy at a Nortel plant in Brockville between 96 and 99. It was before he joined the forces.

    Hey Boat,

Yeah I'm here in Kabul, will be here for a while longer then moving on south to my Foward Operating Base, where I will be for the next 11-13 months. We are safe and will remain that way.

    Shawn,
I want to thank you for posting these they are truely heart felt.

Everyone please if you see a soldier, airman, sailor or marine stop them and just say Thank you! You will be suprised at the reaction you get form them. Thank you all for being a great support group for me to escape the daily grind here and just relax and read whats going on.

    Gary
