running UMI steering on your 250..
I am wondering, Of all the people running the UMI steering system on their 250.. how many like it? I committed myself to this-by the summer it shall be Done. I have been hearing good things about the 7/8" Starbar handlebar, good choice for the Rec rider? I have heard that the UMI company are not really interested in selling and are getting out of the business Does anyone know this to be true?
They were less than helpful on the phone..

Go to maccracing.com and look up their steering system. Alot easier to install than the UMI steering.

+1. But then you retain the cheap bushings and chit. With UMI, or even the TBM at least its sealed bearing's. For rec riding, I guess its good enough. Macc's got that cool metal neck he sells for $300.

Thanks for the replies.. I will look at the Mac system too,but I kinda like the UMI system. If i find some good reasons to change then i might..I think the bars are a done deal. I found a pair that i will use..
