Do I need to remove the engine to inpect hull?

I want to turn my hull upside down to patch up a few dings and have a bit of a look at the condition of the hull on my blaster 1. Do I need to remove the engine to do this, or can I just drain the petrol tank and remove the engine cover?

i had to sand my whole hull down and fill holes
i drianed the tank and flipped it on its side and leaned it against a wall then i sanded it and did what i needed to do and but it back down
you dont need to flip the ski completley over but it does make the work alot easier
