I am running one. Its on the T-X but is the same thing.
Mine is gutted and shortend.
I cant tell you any gains as I did not have a back to back but i have run stocker, gibson, and now this setup, and shes running as fast as she ever has, but overcourse that is thrown off with fine tunning with all mods.

Its a little louder then my stock was with resonator removed but not a great difference IMO. So yes is some louder then stock with resonator.
I personally like it alot louder but thats just what i am use to on my RXP.
I want to run the stock X mid pipe so too me is working good. THe only other option is $400+ for Riva. Its about the same length as the riva but you have the exit at different location with a little longer pipe to hull, so you never know.
I guess to me is the performance gain from this to the Riva box a big gain.
The boat holeshots like crazy so i dont feel any lag loss.

Pop of front cap, leave rear alone...Cut outlet tube and trim it as flush as possible...Remove as much of the wall as possible...
Shorter box is a raspier sound, while deeper results in a throatier tone...
You can shorten it if wanted, BUT DO NOT remove the inverted portion of the rear cap, it is there to dispurse water and not cause any hot spots....
You can have a local welding shop tack weld the FLARE, but if you do install something, DO NOT shorten the box, leave it full length...
