    Which prop? 05 RXT

Here are my mods that are going on this winter:
-Rebuilt SC with either GW or Riva II (are they the exact same or do some perfer one over the other)?
-4" custom into filter mountd in front. With catch can.
-Riva exhaust, just the pipe not the through hull kit.
    -Riva intake grate.
    -Riva pump wedge.
    -OPAS block off kit.

Basically a stage two minus the intercoller, blow off valve, sponsons, and the cheaper exhaust kit. Riva recomends the Solas 14/17r for the Stage 1 and the 13/19r for the Stage 2. Which prop should I go with? Any help is appreciated.

I would recomend looking at this thread, http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16773 but I think the 14/17 should still be ok for you. Once you go to stage 3 wheel, IC, and 42# injectors you will need the 13/19.

I have read that thread about 10 times in the past few weeks. Good information. Only problem is there is no mention of what prop to use in the RXT. Jerry looks to be refering to the RXP when he talks about the different props. I would like to see what someone with a similar setup RXT is running RPM wise and if any pitching was needed with the 14/17.

Hi Neal, the GW and Riva Gen II are identical.

For the setup you have planned i would actually go with the 14/19R.
I know many guys that have used this impeller on their RXT with great results.

Thanks Jerry. I will try the 14/19 first and see where that puts me.

Here is my personal experience. Hope this may help you out. When I was at a stage 1+ I ran the 14/17 at 8000 RPM. So I could have used more mods with that prop.

With these mods on my 06 RXT Stock ECU, 4" intake, XS intercooler, Riva stage III SC, 42lb injectors, GH Waterbox, 2* pump wedge, VTS, Riva intake grate, Riva nozzle w/83mm ring, Riva catch can, 160* thermostat mod, Riva OPAS block off, Riva sponsons. I ran the 13/19 and was right on at 8120 RPM and 73.6MPH in the summer.

Now that it is winter and I added an intercooler bleed mod, plus I have added couple more things, I am running a 14/20.75 at 8100 RPM with 80mm ring at 74.8MPH.

Gus, when you say stage 1 plus did it include a SC wheel? I think that I might be on the limiter with the 14/17. At least at the start of summer. I went back and looked at some of your old posts. Good information for the RXT guys. I wont have as much varations in riding weather so hopefully I can get it close at the start of summer abd not loose much as it heats up. I might take Jerrys advise and try the 14/19. I would like to avoid repitching so hopefully it puts me close to around 8000 leaving me a little room for a few more mods.

No wheel. It was stage 1 components and a few other small items. I dont remember off hand what else I had done to it. Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, then you would have room for when you want to add more to it. Good luck. Let us know how she does so others will know too.
