Question about Family law and Inheritence

Does anyone do this or have any insight?

If a family member died and left say $250,000 split 4 ways and you thought that the executer of the will was not say "honest" what can you do to make sure of a fair split?
Most is life insurance, stocks and bonds to be sold then split but I have no clue what is there. Also I feel money have been being siphoned off to the other heirs without anyones knowledge.

So I am wondering how hard it would be to subpoena bank records to verify where all the money has gone over the last couple of years and if it were legitimate payments or under the table and what can be done to make sure each person is protected?

Consult an attorney in your state who specializes in inheritance and estate law.

have an atorney, petition the court to have them removed and an independant 3rd party installed to run and review the transactions.

How would I petition the court through an attorney?
Also would I be out of line to contact the one that did the will as he has all the needed documentation?

I am second in line to power of attorney in case my father can not complete his duties could the court require me me to be involved with any dealings and give me access to old bank records?
